Driver slams pickup into home near downtown

HOUSTON Eyewitnesses told police they saw a man in a pickup crash into a fence on Ardennes near Doolittle, then back up and hit the house Sunday afternoon. They say the driver then backed up some more, and crashed into the house again.

The homeowner wasn't in the house when it happened. She got a phone call about the crash.

Neighbors say police suspected the driver may have been on drugs at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody.
