The accident happened after 6am on the Highway 59 ramp to eastbound 610 North Loop, just passed the Calvacade exit.
Crews are working on removing the piping from the ramp and from the service road below. They say it will take some time to remove the lost load from the roadway.
HazMat crews were called to scene as well after oil and fuel spilled on to road. The driver will be cited for numerous violations, including failure to secure his load properly.
Authorities say the load appeared to have been too heavy and when he hit the curb, everything shifted and spilled onto the roadway.
The driver wasn't injured in the accident. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
