White House locks down due to fence jumper

WASHINGTON The White House went into a security lockdown and members of the media were not permitted to leave the grounds.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said the person jumped the northeast fenceline rimming the White House at 3:17 p.m. Eastern time. No injuries were reported.

President Barack Obama was inside the White House at the time of the incident. No other details were immediately available.
