Grandfather drowns during fishing trip

CONROE, TX The pair went fishing Monday morning at Cagle campground, off of Lake Conroe near the San Jacinto River. The boat somehow got away from the dock and John Little, 66, tried to swim to the boat. He went under and did not resurface.

The nine-year-old boy ran for help. Lake Conroe patrol later found Little's body. This is the first drowning of the year at Lake Conroe.
