Prosecutors Lance Long and Stephen St. Martin were presented honors from National FBI Director Robert Mueller by Houston FBI Special Agent in Charge Andrew Bland. The two men, who have been with the DAs office for nearly two decades, were honored for outstanding dedication and work with federal and state agencies on major violent crime cases in the Houston area.

Long is now chief prosecutor in the 339th District Court and St. Martin is chief of the 179th District Court prosecution team.

The pair worked closely with federal agents and other members of the FBI's Violent Crime Task Force in investigating and solving high-profile cases in recent years. Their cases included that of Randy Sylvester, the Pasadena man accused of capital murder in the deaths of his two children. The burned bodies of the missing children were found last year.
