HOUSTON --
Police say the man who wore a mask from the movie 'Scream' during a robbery has turned himself in. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]A tip to Crime Stoppers led them to David Wayne Onnen, who police say robbed a Texaco station on 4,700 Navigation back on February 14. They say Onnen wore the the mask made popular by the horror flick during the holdup.
Police say Onnen confessed to a total of eight robberies in the Houston and Harris County area. Investigators said he has been charged in the 176th District Court in the following robberies:
Contact with Onnen's family led to his surrender.
