Authorities say the couple may have been arguing when the driver lost control of the vehicle while heading eastbound on Clay near Deerfield.

The vehicle hit a curb, overcorrected, crossed over the median, struck a small tree and then went into westbound traffic. That's where the vehicle crashed head-on into a red pickup truck.

"The vehicle flipped over on its side. Both vehicles and passengers and driver were pinned in. They were both Life-Flighted to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the red pickup truck is on scene with minor injuries," said Matthew Smith with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor in this crash.
