Members of local low riding clubs set up a benefit car show in southwest Houston Sunday afternoon.
There were cars on display along with live music and dancing competitions. The proceeds go to help pay the medical bills of Thomas Mechell and his son Roland. Organizers say dozens of people responded to the call for help.
The Mechells were injured when their car burst into flames during a low rider rally earlier this month. Roland, 3, is being treated in California.
