The Kemah Boardwalk is expected to be fully operational by this spring. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]Saturday visitors got to enjoy the annual Christmas boat parade, which was the boardwalk's first major event since Hurricane Ike.
The storm damaged most of the stores in this area, however many of them have since reopened.
