Big honor for local high school students

The Klein Collins High School ROTC students will step out front and center at next month's presidential inaugural parade. These young men and women are part of the Air Force Junior ROTC Flying Tigers drill team.

They make all the precision steps and moves look easy, but they've been practicing seven days a week. The Klein Collins team is already nationally recognized, and now they'll be part of history, selected from nearly 1,400 other teams across the country.

"It's a huge honor," said Andrew King with the Klein Collins Air Force Junior ROTC . "Not many people get to and it's great we're one of the ones who got selected."

The biggest challenge the group faces is not marching down Pennsylvania Avenue. It's raising the $25,000 needed to get to there. Donations can be made to the Klein Collins Air Force Junior ROTC drill team.
