Alief voters get their say

The district is asking them to approve a property tax rate increase to cover rising costs. The proposed hike is seven-and-a-half cents. That would cost the average homeowner an extra $83 a year.

Humble ISD holds its election on Saturday. It wants to raise the tax rate by 13 cents.
