Clear Creek volleyball headed to state

HOUSTON The Wildcats won the Region 3 Tournament Saturday sweeping Fort Bend Travis in the region final and now they are headed to state.

The Clear Creek volleyball program has been a local power for the last 26 years. They have only missed the playoffs four times. This season, they finished 41-4, they went through 24-5A undefeated..

The Wildcats are led by senior outside hitter Megan Pendergast and senior setter Rebecca Bekelja. This trip didn't come without a lot of hard work in the gym, the payoff all worth it.

Creek headed to state for the fifth time. The last appearance was in 1995. The only state title was won back in 1968.

They need to win two games in San Marcos to win state. They play Amarillo in game one and this team is in it to win it.
