Ruben Cuellar Romo pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. Romo's daughter claimed she had been raped at a party last April. When Romo went to his daughter's school to talk with administrators about the attack, he saw a boy who he thought had witnessed the incident, and stabbed the teen three times. The teen has since recovered.
A month later, investigators announced that Romo's daughter made up the story to avoid getting in trouble for going to the party in the first place.
A jury is now hearing from witnesses, and will decide on Romo's punishment.
