Jurors hear audiotape in trial

Jurors in the trial of a young man accused of murdering off-duty reserve deputy constable Carltrell Odom heard an audio-taped statement Wednesday.[SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

Alan Nickerson could be heard on audio-tape saying he needed money for the weekend and that he and his friends decided to "go rob" people. Nickerson and three other suspects are accused of robbing Odom in the parking lot of his apartment home last December. Police say they shot Odom when he resisted.
