The animal had knocked out a window and caused lots of damage to some offices. Sheriff's deputies securing the scene heard a commotion in an office and a sergeant went to investigate.
Deputy Chief Wayne Walker with The Woodlands Fire Department said, "I believe he charged the officer. At that time the officer discharged his firearm to protect himself and that's the end of that story."
The sergeant fired three times and killed the deer, which was taken away by game wardens.
