Clear Creek 17-7 over Galveston Ball

HOUSTON They've been out of action because of Hurricane Ike. The school is still closed, but with the return of football, Coach Ron Holmes hopes it will help the island heal after Ike caused so many problems for the city.

First quarter, Ball and Clear creek Tornadoes go for it on fourth and goal inside the five. Donimique Brown stopped by Tyler Eby and Zach Duncavage. Wildcats had a 3-0 lead at the break.

At the half, nice gesture by the Clear Creek students. They held a sign up to the Ball fans that read "it takes a tornado to survive a hurricane."

Third quarter they go for it on fourth and one inside The Wildcat ten. Texas commit Marcus Davis stops Ball's Marcus Ball and the drive is halted.

That led to Marcus Mata connecting with Jordan Wright on a 42 yard pass to give Creek a 10-0 lead.

Mata 10-22 for 180 yards and two scores, the second came when he hit Brian Boyd on a 69 yard hookup

Clear Creek goes on to win 17-7. Next up for Ball is Clear Springs.
