The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Armijo's sentence by U.S. District Judge Davis C. Godbey came a week after 21-year-old Jason Montes was given 340 years.
Both were convicted in April on multiple counts of bank robbery, conspiracy to commit bank robbery and using, carrying and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says they were part of a crew of armed robbers that hit nine banks, with each stop lasting less than a minute.
Armijo attorney Dan Smith argued his client was led by older adults and gave a coerced confession. He says he plans to appeal.
