Houston mayor makes plea to employers

"I don't think people should work less. But I think that not everybody has to get to same place at the same time," said Mayor Bill White.

The mayor says shifting work hours would mean fewer cars on the road at the same time --- thus helping ease traffic backups. Some 280 Houston police officers are already helping direct traffic at 170 intersections. A hundred DPS troopers and 150 TABC officers are also helping out.
