USGS: 6.3-magnitude earthquake hits Tibet

BEIJING, CHINA No casualties were reported after the Monday night quake, state media reported.

The official Xinhua News Agency said, however, it was felt strongly and cracks appeared in some buildings in Zhongba county, the quake's epicenter. Xinhua put the magnitude at 6.8.

On May 12, a 7.9-magnitude earthquake in China's Sichuan province killed 70,000 people and left 5 million homeless.
