Beat the heat in free cooling centers

HOUSTON Reliant Energy has opened their Beat the Heat Centers where Houstonians can go to stay cool. Residents who don't have access to air conditioning otherwise can avoid the potentially dangerous heat of the day. Homeowners who also want to minimize their homes' air-conditioning usage and keep their electricity bills under control are also invited to the centers.

The Reliant Energy Beat the Heat Centers operate 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday through October 3.
