For the third time in two days, a vehicle plowed down pedestrians on a New York City sidewalk, this time leaving three bystanders injured and a driver under arrest. The accident Saturday in Brooklyn's Kensington neighborhood came a day after cars veered onto sidewalks at two spots in Manhattan, hitting a total of 17 people. Two were hospitalized in serious condition, and 11 others were treated for less serious injuries.

Police say the driver in Saturday's wreck ran from the scene on but was arrested.

The driver in one of Friday's accidents also was taken into custody after hitting 10 people in the Garment District. The 23-year old was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
