Vandals had a field day smashing the windows of more than a dozen cars in Fort Bend County. The sheriff's office was flooded with calls from Pecan Grove plantation on Colonel Court near Timothy this morning. Residents woke up to find broken windshields all over the neighborhood.

"It's really disheartening. My mom came in to see her grandchildren," said vandal victim Rudy de la Rosa. "She came in from San Antonio and we're trying to find someone to fix the window. And now it looks like she might not be able to go to work tomorrow which of course costs her money."

"We're concerned that this is going to be a pattern that increases because our school Pecan Grove Elementary was vandalized just last week as well," said vandal victim Karen Blanchard.

) The vandals that struck the school knocked over several park benches.s
