'Wild' cat found roaming New Orleans

New Orleans police enlisted the help of the Audubon Zoo after officers were called on a report of a "wild" cat roaming Uptown. The 40-pound wild animal that had no front or back claws and was subdued by a tranquilizer gun last night.

Police say it looked like a little leopard.

The unidentified animal was removed safely and taken to the zoo Police say it's a type of wild cat that is illegal to have in a residential home.

Authorities say the animal appeared to have been someone's pet, since it had been declawed.
