It's almost prom season and local teens are getting help finding the perfect dress.

The Glass Slipper Foundation hosted its fourth annual free dress giveaway at Atascocita High School Saturday. Girls who might not otherwise be able to afford an outfit browsed through racks of dresses, shoes and accessories.

"I just went there. I was looking," said Nimitz High School student Briana Wheatfall. "At first, I thought I wasn't going to find one, but then I just kept looking and eventually I found one."

"This is a very expensive event for these girls, so we try to curb the cost of everything that they have and give it to them for free," said Tasasha Harper with the Glass Slipper Foundation.

The foundation says it has about a thousand dresses to give away this year. All the dresses are donated, and some are new and cost up to $500.
