Investigators have blamed an electrical problem for an accidental North Texas house fire that left three people critically hurt.

The Fort Worth Fire Department on Friday did not update conditions of the man, the woman or the 6-year-old child. The youngster's gender wasn't immediately released.

The man suffered burns as he escaped Thursday night's blaze. He told rescuers that a woman and a child were still in the burning structure. Firefighters found those two victims in the rear of the home.

Capt. Tom Crow says all three people were critical when transported to hospitals as firefighters put out the blaze. Crow on Friday did not provide additional information on the electrical problem.

Names of the injured weren't immediately released.
