Endless hours wasted in traffic jams are nothing new to Houston drivers, but it turns out other cities have it much worse.

Houston ranked sixth in a study of the most time stuck in traffic. Our drivers notch a whopping 52 hours every year sitting in traffic. The study was compiled by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute.

Boston came in at number five with 53 hours, followed by New York, San Francisco, and LA.

As for the biggest traffic nightmare, that's in Washington DC, where drivers spent 67 hours trapped in their vehicles.
