According to Houston police, the victim was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes in the 13400 block of the Northwest Freeway near Tidwell on foot when he was struck by an unknown vehicle, which did not stop.
A passerby saw the body in the freeway and flagged down a deputy constable who was patrolling the area.
The 50-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
There were no witnesses to the crash so police do not have a vehicle description at this time.
