One person was taken into custody near the end of a brief chase in north Houston Friday afternoon.

Initial reports state that around 5pm, police began pursuing possibly two suspects in a black Dodge Challenger on the southbound lanes of Highway 45 near Little York.

The car exited Parker, went down Yale and other side streets before heading east on Tidwell and getting back on the southbound lanes of Highway 45. The driver then got on the eastbound lanes of the North Loop and exited Hardy.

The car sped through an intersection, nearly colliding with another car and then almost hitting a second car immediately after.

The driver eventually turned south on Elysian and parked under a tree behind a house on Euel and Elysian. It took police a while to find the car, but a patrol officer eventually spotted it.

At another scene nearby, SkyEye HD spotted police handcuffing a man, but it wasn't immediately known whether that person was related to the chase.

Police are now looking for a possible second suspect with K-9.

It wasn't immediately known why police began pursuing the suspects.

No other details were immediately available.
