Parents accused of leaving baby in hot sun while panhandling

HOUSTON

Tyler Gleason, 36, and Tonya Gleason, 34, are each charged with endangering a child. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a five-month-old baby was sitting in a car seat in the hot sun near the road while the parents solicited money from vehicles passing by on Monday.

A deputy was sent out for a welfare check and found the baby. An EMS crew said the baby's body temperature was over 100 degrees.

It's not clear if CPS has gotten involved with the family's case.

Bail has been set at $2,000.
