Officers were called to a home in the 13800 block of Lynwood near Oak Wood around 8:30pm Friday.
They arrived and found the man in the house. He was shot in the chest, officials said.
Life Flight transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Police said he was going through a divorce with his wife. She was taken into police custody at the scene for the shooting.
According to officials, the couple was having an argument when the shooting happened. Police are still investigating the exact circumstances. It is unknown whether charges will be filed.
