Small fire leads to evacuation at UH campus

The Houston Fire Department contained and put out a small fire in a mechanical room on the first floor of Cemo Hall at the Bauer College of Business.

A fire incident has led to an evacuation of a building on the University of Houston main campus.

The Houston Fire Department contained and put out a small fire in a mechanical room on the first floor of Cemo Hall at the Bauer College of Business. Power in the surrounding area has been cut and officials are working to vent the smoke.

UH Fire Marshals first confirmed smoke at about 11am. No injuries have been reported.

Cemo Hall is a lecture hall/academic center for the UH Bauer College of Business.
