Actress Sean Young arrested at post-Oscars party

LOS ANGELES, CA

The 52-year-old "Blade Runner" star was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Sunday and was booked at the Hollywood police station for investigation of misdemeanor battery. City News Service says she posted $20,000 bail and was released at 2:55 a.m. Monday.

Police Sgt. Enrique Mendoza confirmed the arrest but wouldn't give details about the incident or the alleged victim.

The Governor's Ball is the official Oscar party and is held above the awards show's venue, the Hollywood & Highland Theatre. Young's movie credits also include "Stripes" and "No Way Out."

A voicemail message left early Monday for Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences spokeswoman Tara Curtis wasn't immediately returned.
