Local students surprised with rodeo concert tickets

HOUSTON

Each student received four premium tickets to Sunday's rodeo concert featuring Selena Gomez. Erica Rocha was one of the students nominated by principals, teachers and parents for shining in one of three areas -- academic achievement, most improved, or outstanding citizenship. Erica says she thought she was in trouble when she was called to the front of her classroom.

"I'm kind of like really shocked. I'm excited. Thank you so much. I can't believe it," she said.

The ticket giveaway was through Reliant Energy's student recognition program.
