HOUSTON --For the Texans it's good news that they talked offensive assistant coach Bruce Matthews into staying. Matthews had talked to the Cowboys about joining their staff then came back and talked with Gary Kubiak and Bob McNair who convinced him to stay. Matthews is arguably the greatest offensive lineman in NFL history and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. And he's also someone who can teach the linemen.
He had told Bob Allen last season he wanted more responsibility here and he probably got it.
