A suspect accused of fatally shooting a 22-year-old man is awaiting extradition back to Harris County from Louisiana. James Anthony Durr was arrested on Friday in Shreveport, Louisiana in connection to the November 14 murder of 22-year-old Jason Waldrup.

Detectives say Waldrup was last seen getting into a gray 2006 Mitsubishi Gallant with Durr.

A person in the 4600 block of Blaffer Street then found Waldrup found shot in the head and called 911. Paramedics transported Waldrup to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives say Durr surrendered to Shreveport police and the wanted Mitsubishi was found.

Murder charges against Durr are expected to be filed once he's back in Harris County.
