Teenager fatally shot in the head in friend's driveway

HOUSTON Police say Sarahi Rosales Gutierrez was in the driveway of a home on 254 Tallant about 12:30am Monday visiting with several friends when a man produced a pistol and, without provocation, shot Gutierrez. Her friends then fled the scene.

One of the friends hid the gun in his home, but later called police to report the shooting. The weapon has been recovered.

Gutierrez, 19, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to a Ben Taub Hospital. Police say she later died at the hospital.
