After the crash, the suspect tried to run away but was caught a short time later. Police say the man didn't have any warrants and the car wasn't stolen, so they don't know why he ran off.
Driver leads police on wild chase
HOUSTON
Around 2am, an officer tried to stop the driver on Old Spanish Trail, but he took off. The chase went through the Galleria area, Memorial Park and the Katy Freeway. It didn't end until he crashed on Jutland about 45 minutes later.
