Police believe prison escapees traveling in Jetta

PHOENIX, AZ Police are searching for the two convicted murderers after catching a third escaped convict early Sunday in western Colorado. Arizona Department of Corrections spokesman Barrett Marson says 36-year-old Daniel Renwick was caught after a police pursuit ended in Rifle, Colo., about 670 miles from the Arizona State Prison in Golden Valley.

Renwick was serving 22 years for second-degree murder when he and the other two inmates escaped Friday by cutting a hole in a perimeter fence.

Marson says the other two are believed to be traveling with a woman suspected of helping in the escape.

Authorities believe they're in a silver, four-door Volkswagen Jetta with the Arizona license plate 334 VAN. Police say the men bought the car, but didn't say how or where.
