Popular park and ride gets major expansion

HOUSTON The popular South Point Park and Ride now has twice as many parking spaces as before. The lot sits next to I-45, on a route that goes to the Texas Medical Center. It used to have 376 parking spaces but that has now been increased to 766.

METRO also upgraded lighting and drainage. The project cost $1.3 million, and finished a month ahead of schedule.
