For the second day in a row, Houston police are looking in to what appears to be a love triangle gone wrong. The deadly stabbing happened around 11pm Thursday at the Woodlake on the Bayou Apartments on Briar Forest in west Houston. Investigators say a couple had been watching TV at the girlfriend's apartment, along with her young daughter. Police say at some point, the daughter went to get a blanket and found her father (her mother's ex-boyfriend) hiding in the closet. The suspect, armed with a butcher knife, came out of the closet, stabbed the woman's current boyfriend and then fled the scene, police say.

"He fled on foot after the stabbing," said Sgt. Chris Cegielski with the Houston Police Department. "We're trying to locate him at this point to question him about this incident."

Chodwi Deandre McPeters, 33, has been charged with murder. They say he's a black male with a slim build. He's about 5'10" with short hair and a chipped front tooth. McPeters has not been arrested and is believed to be in the Houston area. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222 TIPS.

The victim's identity hasn't been released at this time.
