Three injured after light rail train hits car

HOUSTON The accident took place around 5:30pm Friday when a car ran a red light on Bell at Main and was T-boned by the METRO train. The male driver of the car was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, and two passengers on the train were taken to St. Joseph Hospital also with non-life-threatening injuries.

The car was towed away and the light rail is running smoothly again.
