An 18-year old woman and a two-year-old girl whom she was babysitting, were rushed to a hospital moments after being struck by a car. The teenager was babysitting the toddler and both were out in the front yard playing around 7:30pm Monday night when the toddler took off into the street near the East Belt at Green Shadow Dr., just south of Highway 225. The teen ran off after her and both were hit by a white pickup truck hauling a four-wheeler.

"The little girl was running out to the street and a family member was running after her and they both ended up getting run over by the truck," said neighbor Daphnie Riojas.

Both the teen and the toddler were taken by Lifeflight to the Medical Center. The two-year-old had serious head injuries and the 18-year-old had non-life threatening injuries.

Pasadena Police say the driver of the white pickup was not speeding and will not be charged.
