Prosecutors say Mexican had $1M at border

LAREDO, TX Federal prosecutors in Laredo said Monday that Jose Luis Martinez-Gonazalez faces charges of evading and failing to file currency reporting requirements. Authorities say the money was found in hidden compartments inside the truck's cab.

The 26-year-old was arrested Saturday in Laredo.

He awaits a detention hearing scheduled for later this month.
