Officer involved in accident during chase

Police say the officer was chasing after a stolen van near downtown Houston. The officer tried to get around a security patrol car that was not part of the chase on Irvington at Hays, but that car made a sudden turn, hitting the back of the officer's vehicle.

Authorities eventually arrested the driver of the van, but a passenger got away. No one was hurt.
