The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center held a celebration to honor Robert Wright's commitment. The center says fewer than 20 people in the region have reached the 100 gallon milestone. Wright says it was an easy goal for him to reach.
"It seems to be a bit help for a lot of people," he told us. "I started doing it in about the mid-1980s and been doing it ever since then. Do it as often as I can."
Wright donates blood about every two weeks.
