No jail for nanny caught on tape

A nanny caught on tape slapping a baby will not go to jail. A judge today sentenced Robin Mayberry to 10 years probation, a $500 fine and 420 hours of community service. Mayberry pleaded guilty to injury to a child. Surveillance video shows Mayberry force feeding and hitting a child she used to care for.

"She is not the victim here and she continues to act as if she is," said Janae Acquard, the children's mother. "Those babies were the victim.

"She acts like she hasn't done anything, anything wrong. However, if somebody were to treat her children that way I'm sure she'd feel a little different," said Steven Acquard, the children's father.

Mayberry also has to write a letter of apology to the family. She cannot have any contact with the victim or family, must attend parenting classes and cannot work in the child care field.
