'Blackhawk Bandits' force bank customers to floor

HOUSTON At approximately 9:15am, two masked men entered the bank and pointed handguns at the customers and employees while ordering everyone to the floor. Both jumped over the teller counter and demanded that tellers open their drawers.

The "Blackhawk Bandits" then emptied the teller drawers and placed the cash into a beige cloth bag. The two fled the bank on foot, and were seen getting into an older model white Suburban which was waiting for them at a nearby Walgreens store.

The "Blackhawk Bandits" are described as:

  • #1: Black male, early 20's, 6'00" to 6'02", slender build, dark complexion. He was wearing a black "beanie" cap, black bandana, black jacket, and dark jeans. He carried a black semi automatic handgun.
  • #2: Black male, 5'05" to 5'08", with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask, black pullover shirt, and dark jeans. He also carried a black semi automatic handgun.
  • Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of the "Blackhawk Bandits" or any felony suspect. If you have information regarding this case, call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or your local FBI office.
