Cinco Ranch senior signs with Baylor

WACO, TX (KTRK) Eight of the nine signees are from Texas high schools.

"We are very excited about the incoming class for 2008," head coach Marci Miller Jobson said. "This class is coming in at a great time as we look to move this program forward. I feel that each of these young ladies is going to help us as we continue to rebuild." The nine signees will look to fill the void left by seven graduating seniors off the 2007 team that finished with a 7-10-2 record overall.

Dismuke, a midfielder/forward, joins the Bears' signees, which include: Alyssa Anderson (MF/F, Allen HS, Allen, Texas); Jonie Canfield (MF, Smithson Valley HS, Bulverde, Texas); Christine Clark (F/MF, Chatfield Senior HS, Littleton, Colo.); Brittany Hunemuller (MF, Round Rock HS, Round Rock, Texas); Bethany Johnston (F/MF/D, McKinney HS, McKinney, Texas), Jessica Loyd (MF, Lake Highlands HS, Dallas, Texas); Staz Salinas (MF, James Bowie HS, Austin, Texas); and Wallis Young (D/MF/F, Duncanville HS, Duncanville, Texas).

Dismuke, 18, is a three-year letterwinner at Cinco Ranch who helped guide the Cougars to district championships in each of her three seasons (2005-07). She recorded seven goals and six assists in 2007, finishing sixth in the district in points. She also played club soccer with the Texas Premiere from 2000-07 and now plays for Texas Challenge.
