The tragic events that left 7 people dead in Santa Barbara, California has spurred a conversation on social media.

Elliot Rodger, 22, stabbed three male room-mates, shot three women outside the Alpha Phi sorority house and then began shooting randomly at pedestrians in a mass murder rampage that ended with his own death.

Shortly before those attacks began, Rodger released a YouTube video complaining about the way women had treated him. In response, people on Twitter began using the hashtag #YesAllWomen.

The social media posts initially included complaints about women and relationships. But the conversation online overwhelmingly turned to comments about women's troubles with men ranging from dealing with harassment to being victims of violence.
