Man in wheelchair hit by an 18-wheeler in east Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police say a man in a wheelchair is in the hospital after he was hit by an 18-wheeler.

Authorities say the incident happened around 3:20 p.m. Thursday on I-10 and Federal Road outbound.

Police say a caller told them the man was hit by an 18-wheeler.

The man was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he is currently in unknown condition.

Vehicle Crimes Division investigators are en route to the scene.
